Our guest on this episode is Mbuyu “Puma” Wa Mbuyu, president & co-founder of Able & Willing International Educational Foundation. AWIEF is a grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing schools and improving health and nutrition in areas of extreme poverty and need. AWIEF was started in 1995 in the then-Zaire (today called the Democratic Republic of Congo). Nowadays, the organization is involved in projects in other countries. Puma shared with us the inspiration behind this project of building schools and some of the challenges encountered along the way.
