This is the introductory episode of BantuNauts RAYdio aired on June 7, 2014 on KABF 88.3 FM. We were joined by Melanie Lacy who came to talk about the launch of Harambee Market. Harambee is Swahili for “let’s pull together”. Harambee Market is “a culturally conscious shopping experience” featuring arts & crafts, African imports, hand-made merchandise, vegan food and so much more.The first Harambee Market was held at Afrodesia Studio on Sunday June 8, 2014.
This episode features music from several African artists including Fela Kuti, Oumou Sangare, and Rokia Traore.
