Here’s another edition of the Fan Faves series where we ask one of our listeners to send us a list of their favorite tunes of the moment. Since we started BantuNauts RAYdio show, one of our greatest pleasure has been to connect with and learn from awesome people from around the world.

“I am Firew Asrat from Hawassa, southern Ethiopia. I’m 22. I am a 5th year medical student at Hawassa University School of Medicine. And I write about Ethiopian football for African football website.
I love music, especially African music. I listen to music from all African nations. Apart from this, I love jazz & country music, photography and soccer.
For the past 2 years, I’ve been working on a Facebook group with my friend Meron Mifta. We created it in order to share different African music among Africans.
My favorite music on the list is Teddy Afro’s Senberé. This music is from his recent album ‘Ethiopia’. The music speaks the hearts of many Ethiopians and oppressed Africans. It criticizes the current Ethiopian government and other African dictatorial governments for the injustices they do on their people. He didn’t explain this directly with political words rather he uses secret idioms to explain the injustices.”
